
NIFT 2015 Examination is scheduled to be on February 8 and 22, 2015. Candidates need to prepare well for the test to get clear through it as there is large number of applicants every year appearing for the test. So, competition level is bound to rise. Candidates should be well aware of the certain reservation of seats in NIFT . Seats reserved for different category is given below:-

Candidate needs to specify the category in the application form and once submitted it cannot be changed afterwards. However, SC/ST/OBC/PHP students have the option to change it during counseling if they want to be considered for general category if their program preference remains same.
There are certain requirements which need to be fulfilled by candidate before applying for reserved quota. It is given as below:-
Students who are interested in applying for this quota need to present caste or tribe certificate issued from Competent Authority of respective states/union territories/national commission of tribes.
For these candidates requirement is that they need to have caste certificate issued from Competent Authority of respective states/union territories specifying that they do not belong to the creamy layer. The certificate should not be of earlier than September 1, 2014 and it should be issued in favor of candidate.
These students need to present a copy of disability certificate issued by a medical authority at the time of application as defined under section- 4 of rules framed by Central/State Government. They should have original Medical Certificate during Counseling and Admission to the institute. Students need to attend counseling and allotment of course will be done after the assessment of abilities of candidates. There may be consideration of giving external assistance to the disable students at the time of assessments but all the expenses will be borne by the applicants. Students should arrange external help on their own.
There will be a board consisting of medical officer, concerned department faculty and an administrative officer for evaluation of candidates. Applicants should come prepared for the counseling.

Fifteen percent of seats are reserved for these candidates in each programme at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar and Raebareli. Theses students should be either Foreign Nationals whether residing in India or abroad, or are wards of Non Resident Indian, who is a citizen of India who holds an Indian passport and has temporarily immigrated to another country for six months or more for work, residence or any other purpose. They will get the admission on the basis of following tests
Programme and campus allotment will be based on merit list prepared according to the candidates' scores. They need to apply for these examinations before April 30, 2015. Allotment of seats will be on the basis of highest score among all the tests
