The current curriculum is really up to the industry standards here , since it is a autonomous institute (affiliated to M.A.K.A.U.T or W.B.U.T) it has its own curriculum ,Personally i like this curriculum it helped me to under computer early in my first year . Helped me to gain interest over my field.
I personally havent gotten any internship yet but my senior had a chance to get an internship at Microsoft as a SWE for 1.25 lacs per month which for my opinion is really great not only that majority of the senior I know are really good at what they do and are doing internship in various companies.
The place here is good enough i would not say every one gets it but every one can get it and by that i mean if u have the talent u can have the job for yourself be it amazon microsoft or any maang companies.u would never feel like i am not elegible for this or for that every one has equal opportunities this year my senior secured an internship at Microsoft for 1.25 lacs per month.
the tution fees is totally controlled by the WBJEE board for example when got enrolled in this college the projected feese was 5.5lac for 4 years i.e 8 semisters. but as per the notification released but the wbjee authority the colleges were allowed to raise the current fees to a certain level which in our case was 6 lacs.
There are two major fest in the college Kritanj (Tech fest)helds in june and Navodaya around june july (cultural Fest) The range of books available in the library is good everything is available over here classrooms are equipped with smart boards for the ease of learning. There is a football ground ,cricket net ,and vollyball court i personally wished there was a badminton court too . there social groups are negligible no one is interested in that i have never seen a group in our college
The faculty here are like 50-50 some of them are really helpful as well as knowledgable but some of them are really othodox in the way they teach. Though every faculty here is brilliant no up to the mark as IIT and NITs but hey come on u are paying way-way less than what other Tier 2 colleges charge .As i stated earlier some of the faculty here is really othodox which makes it difficult for students of this era to approach them, but majority of they will make u really comfortable
