I'm Hemant kumar. Firstly I have prepared for IIT-JEE Exam. IIT-JEE is an entrance exam for IITs,NITs and other government college. I also have given this entrance exam and This exam is happens in two method. First Jee main and then jee advance. So I have make a good percentile in jee main that is 95.28%, So that I could secure a seat through josaa counseling In Vnit Nagpur
I choose Metallurgy and materials engineering because It is good in VNIT nagpur being an old college it has also good exposure and placement is also Some how good. If I talk about my college student ratio is like other engineering colleges and in my class also there is 1 girl per 7 boys . Talking about the faculty of my college , they are very good and nice. Some Professor recently in world's top 2% scientist. There have two exam in a semester that is mid sem and end sem.
As of my experience internship will not be given in first year as of you get amn internship it will be mostly unpaid social internship which teaches you a good moral person and you will show your certificate
As I'm an Obc candidates and also my family income is less than 1 lakh so I have to pay a very low amount for my studies as I get fee remission after full payment. As right now I'm in first year my college provide some of scholarship that is medhavi engineering scholarship and other also but you have to apply for only one.
Vnit nagpur is come under top 10 nits list so you can expect a very good college campus along with about 40+ clubs inside the campus and every clubs gives you a new learning experience and life in vnit is chill and to do whatever you want and if i talk about the infrastructure is to good to like every day and weather of nagpur is nice.
Hostels are good and very large room will be provided for the first years students and also in the second year a a good single decent college will be provided to you. if we talk about the rent you have to pay about 33400 in second year and 37400 in first year it will be very awesome campus life a hostels are also good .
the faculty in the college are very good enough to teach you a lot of things and all of them are qualified from a reputed institute where they holdings a good rank and very important for to focus on that teachers class.
The course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is fine. The pattern follwed is of sppu 2019 pattern and in first year all the subjects are same for all the students then in second year all the students get into there specific branches. i jus dont like a thing lik eif i am computer student so why should i do thing which is for mechnical studnets that a thing i hate about the pattern but we can't halp it in real.
The placement cell of our college is great and very well disciplined. They support each and every student and have great one on one interaction. Various top MNCs companies come for recruitment of students such as Infosys, Amazon, Wipro, Accenture, Conigzant etc. The highest package achieved by our college student is 40LPA . The average package of our college is 3-4LPA . Around 50-60% students get placed above average package.
After 7 semester students become eligible for the placements Placement wise college is average. Do not expect 6–10 lakh package You can get a 3–4 lakh package, and only 70 out of 130 get that(All mass recruiters like TCS, Capgemini, and L&T, only a few core companies visit YCCE 100% placement is a myth, they place students in BPO to increase placement numbers. But if you have even a little bit of coding knowledge you will get in.
Mostly from the 3rd year the placement starts Also internships are offered from the second year onwards From first semester of 4th year placement are starts many of the students are placed through the campus placements
At first year the normal subjects are there to study and there are less benefits of these but from second year of college the subjects are so interesting and also connected to the specific branch that you choose also new skill are going to be immarge
The overall ratioof placemnet can be considerd good. Most of the big placements 20+ are offcampus.Companies do visit but just a good cgpa wont gaurantee a job, the resume needs to be strong. There is cutoff applied for students on basis of cgpa.
As there is much scope for entc branch in last 3 years so we choose it as our carrier.and our college prepare us for all the exams and real World competation.teaching method is all good.timing of exam is perfect as my perspective on their difficulty level.
The college placement are execellent ,with students from the 6th semester are allowed to sit for placement.Mass recruiters like TCS,Accenture,IBM offer packages ranging 5-8 Lpa.Companies such as Amazon,Nutranix and LG provide -substantial package of 22 LPA,17-22 LPA,and 37 LPA respectively, with number of offer ranging between 25-30 per year. The highest package do far has been 48 LPA from Fivetran. The 2020 batch achived an impressive placemeent percentage of 90% iin CSE and allied branches, compared to 68-70% in core branches.
