My review on FISAT
Likes
- Most of the Faculties are very friendly and highly educated, we can contact them in any time for doubts and questions
- The college is situated in a peaceful environment, the campus size is considerably good
- The college have its own canteen and a juice counter which works even after the college hours
- Very good and efficient placement cell which gives placement training from semester 3 onwards
Dislikes
- Only 1 lift is avilable in the whole college with 4 floors and it will always be full and students need to climb the stairs
- The college is somewhat far away from the angamaly town
- The college management is very strict compared to other colleges, we cant bunk any classes, if we are absent in any of the classes a message will be sent to our parents
Remarks :
I applied to both fisat and saintgits but gave priority to fisat because of its academic excellence and good placement statitics, also saintgits was far from my home and i didnt want to stay in hostel. The admission procedure in fisat is very simple and fast you can get it either by keam allotment or you can directly call or visit the office. A faculty will call you and gives all information about the admission procedure and can be called anytime for any doubts The eligibility of our college is atleast 75 percentage in boards or via entrance exams, cut offs are very high for cs and ec whereas other branches have average cut off The overall admission procedure was simple, fater and efficient
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have taken this course as my brother have also done the same course but in another college and he got a very good annual package This course makes us eligible to work in core electrical industries and also in other electrical related companies The frequency of exam is very high the 6 months semester is completed in like 4 months also there are series exams , class tests and lab exams between these The semester exams are very hard compared to the series exam, whereas an average student can clear the series exam by studying just 2 days before the exam
Internships Opportunities :
Our college have many Alumnis, groups and contacts which helps the students to do internships in a very good and reputed instituions Details of various internships are send to the students via whatsapp groups or by other means so that the students can register for that They also includes many institution which offers a high stipend and high valued certificates which helps us in the time of placement
Placement Experience :
The placemnlents offers our college are very high compared to other privates engineeeing college with an average annual package of 5.17 lakhs per annum There are many recruiter visiting the college which includes core and top tier companies. almost every person without a backlog is able to get one offer from the recruiters ,the highest package was above 17 lakhs in the previous year I am trying hard to get placed from the college with a decent amount of salary and if i am not satisfied i will pursue mtech
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fee for an average person is 93500 which includes the course fee(75000) along with examination fee, pta fund, value added courses etc.. A caution deposit of 10000 rs is needed additionally during the admission But in case of students joined via NRI quota needs to pay approx 1.4 lakh per annum There are many scholarahips available in fisat scholarships are available if the student have very low entrance rank and also when the family income is very low Additionally you need to pay for uniform which will be less than 4000rs
Campus Life :
There are many events happening in the college every year both inter and intracollege workshops, hackathones, seminar, culturals are held Bharatham is the major cultural event which will happen only once in 2 years Most of the events are held in the 2nd half of the year Our college offers a very big library which can be accessed by students even after the college hours and a wide variety of books are available there both phusically and digitally Our college also promotes extracurricular activities in a very appreciatable way, in the campus a very big cricket ground along with basketball, volleyball and badminton court is present and also our college sports teams have participated in many championshios and won prizes Also various student clubs like icc, nss., ieee and iedc are very active in our college
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is very high such that every 20 students have their own group advisor, most of the faculties are very friendly and helps us in every manner they can be contacted any time for doubts or questions, they are also highly educated There are mainly 2 series exams conducted by the colleege and a semester exam conduted by the university The series exams are very easy to clear but semester exams are very hard compared to the series Also there will be class tests depending on the faculties Almost more than half of the class is able to clear all the papers in the first attempt

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is a fine one the previous semester where little short due to the corona virus The 2nd semester was only around 3 months which was quite struggling
Why you should join Fisat
Placement Experience :
My college has one of the best placements in my state. In 2022, they had the most placements and many number of students got placed with good salary. My college was also one of the 7 colleges in Kerala to be selected by TCS for placement. Overall I think my college has got good placement status.

Students become eligible after 3rd year for campus selection around 10-15 companies are there in fisat for electrical departments . Out of 60 around 30 get placed every year the core companies which come are very less last year only 1 student got placed only Infocys, ibm, tata, uts global ets are companies which come to our college every year for placement The highest package over here starts from 5lakhs every year only few students get placed in core companies In EEE only 60 percentage of students get placed and rest 40 doesnt get placements they doesnt get placed due to backlogs and all. My plans after the degree are i would like to take further education in canada and all most of the people go outside the country for further education

Placement Experience :
Our college is giving placement training from 3rd semester onwards however the placement procedure starts only from 7th semester. Our college have a very good placement cell a lot of core companies visit our college and a lot of offers are made If you cleares all backlogs when you are sitting for placement mostly you will get an offer The average package of our college in last year was 5.17 lakhs per annum with highest of 17+ lakhs per annum I am also looking to get placed in a good company Or otherwise choose to do mtech
TKM from the Eyes of a Second Year
Placement Experience :
The placement condition here is pretty average. The average package is 5 LPA. Last year we had the highest placements which is 34 LPA. I want to perceive higher education after my B Tech. I have heard that we have Oracle, Cognizant, Amazon etc.
