Remarks :

I cleared JEE Mains (86 percentile) and waited for JoSAA counselling. I didn't apply for many NITs and so didn't get admission in the selected NITs. I took repeaters course for JEE Advanced but got seat in this college through TNEA counselling. So I joined here as I wanted to study Chemical Engineering. My cutoff was 85.5

Course Curriculum Overview :

I didn't know about the curriculum at the time of admission. As a chemical engineer, we need knowledge on electrical devices and machines, biology, basic chemistry and physics, instrumentation, equipments in chemical process industries, ideas on process calculations, mathematics, C programming(for MATLAB), AutoCAD(designing), Aspen Plus, etc.... and the curriculum focuses on those things. Frequency of the exam is moderate. We have a lot of time to stduy and learn new concepts. The timings of internal exams are 2.5 hrs and end semester exams are 3hrs. The exams seems to be hard. It requires the student to apply every knowledge on the concept to answer the qns.

Internships Opportunities :

I do not know anything about companies offering internships. I've heard that seniors would attend internships in companies around their place of living. Seniors would complete their projects in companies or esteemed institutions like NITs or IITs.

Placement Experience :

The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year in the month of October. For chemical engineering, Asian paints, PETRONAS are some companies I remember. Last year 12companies visited and 20offers were made. Highest package: 12LPA and Average package: 6LPA. Students with no standing arrears are mandatory for placements and some companies want candidates with no history of arrears. Percentage of students getting placed is around 15%. I currently do not have any plans

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I'm currently in the second year. The year-wise fees I paid in my first year was Rs.27900, and the second year is Rs.27000. I got admission in this college through TNEA counselling (merit seat - OBC). Tuition fees-4000,Admission fees-10,Special fees-1500,Development fees-3000,Caution deposit fees-500,University fees-1850,Administration fee-2000,Marksheet verification fee-50,(YRC,NSS)-40,Accreditation incentive-2850,Association fee-700,IDcard-300,Library fee- 800,Off-college hour services-5500,soft skill training-2500,students safety insurance scheme-300,university affiliation and augmentation fee-2000. Frnd1 who got merit seat through management paid an extra donation of Rs.7L Frnd2 through counselling(SS seat) pays around Rs.80k per year Frnd3 got management seat paying Rs.16L donation + Rs.80k per year Frnd4 is a first graduate in his family has no tuition fee(4000rs less) Frnd5 got 7.5% reservation-tamil medium Scholarships available. Join only merit seat is offered.

Campus Life :

Nakshtra - an event organised especially for 1st year students was conducted on May 9 and 10. A Hackathon(ChemEHack) is to be organised August 30. Most of the events will be conducted during the even semesters. There are enough books for us students to refer and learn. Students can access library till 7pm on working days with their ID card. Sports and extracurricular activities are considered as one credit mandatory courses. Many social groups and clubs are existing here. Eg: Dramatix club, Martial arts club, Rotaract club, NSS, Music club, etc

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio would be approx 1:6 Most of the faculties are easy to approach in case of academics and career guidance. I don't have a favorite faculty as it may change with time. Most faculties are friendly. I like all faculties I've met. For a semester, there are two mid semester exams (internals) and an end semester exam. For lab sessions, 2 CAT exams. 70% of our class opted for their parents' sake. They didn't want to study this course, and they are uninterested in the subjects. 60% of our class has arrears. The course curriculum (2023 regulation) is very relevant to our course compared to the previous years

HITECH A DECENT COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview :

I would rate the course curriculum at Hindusthan Institute of Technology (HITECH) as moderately relevant but lacking in comprehensiveness. **Positives:** - The curriculum covers fundamental concepts well, which influenced my decision to choose this course, particularly in fields like Computer Science and Electronics. - It provides a decent foundation for real-world applications, especially in core subjects, and supports further academic pursuits like GATE or higher studies. **Areas for Improvement:** - The curriculum needs more emphasis on emerging technologies and practical skills to better prepare students for industry demands. - Integration of industry projects and internships would enhance real-world readiness. - Teaching methods could be more interactive, with case studies and hands-on learning. **Exams:** - Exams are held twice per semester (midterms and finals), with a moderate difficulty level. More focus on problem-solving and practical applications in exams would improve p
