I chose Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) over other colleges because of its balanced focus on both academics and practical training, as well as the favorable faculty-to-student ratio, which promised personalized attention. Among the other colleges I applied to were PSG College of Technology and Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT). While these colleges have a higher national ranking and better infrastructure, I was particularly drawn to CCET's commitment to fostering a close-knit learning environment and its proactive placement cell. Unfortunately, I couldn’t secure admission to PSG College of Technology due to the high cutoff in the TNEA counseling, where competition is fierce. The admission process at CCET was straightforward and transparent. It primarily considers scores from the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) based on 12th-grade marks, which is the most preferred exam for engineering aspirants in Tamil Nadu. The cutoff varies each year.
The course curriculum at Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) is largely comprehensive and relevant, which significantly influenced my decision to enroll. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and includes practical components that are crucial for real-world applications. Courses are designed to be industry-aligned, offering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience through labs and projects, which prepare students well for both professional careers and further academic pursuits. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in integrating more contemporary topics like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced data analytics, which are increasingly important in today's tech-driven landscape. Additionally, the teaching methods could be enhanced by incorporating more project-based learning and industry case studies to better reflect real-world scenarios. The frequency and timing of exams are well-planned.

Overall, CCET offers a balanced and fulfilling campus life that extends beyond academics. The combination of well-organized festivals, a rich library, modern classrooms, diverse sports facilities, and vibrant student clubs creates an environment that supports both academic excellence and personal development. While the infrastructure and facilities provided by the college are adequate for most needs, there is always room for improvement, particularly in expanding the range of extracurricular activities and enhancing the technological resources available in classrooms. Nevertheless, my experience at CCET has been overwhelmingly positive, and the opportunities provided by the college have greatly contributed to my growth as a student and as an individual. The supportive social environment, combined with the college's commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence, makes CCET a great place to pursue an engineering education.

The use of mixed media, including magazine clippings, fabric scraps, and textured paper, creates a dynamic interplay of textures and colors. The composition is both chaotic and harmonious, drawing the viewer's eye across the piece and inviting deeper exploration of the contrasting images. The juxtaposition of industrial and natural elements suggests a commentary on the relationship between technology and the environment.
