Admission to Ph.D. is done through a two-stage process. In the first stage, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit in PET conducted by BAMU. The shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview /viva–voce, where they are required to discuss their research interests/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee (DRC). Final selection is done on the basis of marks secured in PET and performance in the interview round.

A relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks is given to sponsored category candidates applying for any program.
Priority admission is given to candidates who have completed their Higher Secondary education from the state of Maharashtra.
A minimum of 51% Seats is reserved for minority categories (including other reserved categories) for the M.Pharm course.
