Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Mangalore has been ranked A+ by NAAC and was awarded as the ‘Best Performing College of the Year’ by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST)-2020. It offers B.E. at the UG level and offers M.Tech and MBA at the PG level. The college also offers a PhD program in seven disciplines.

Admission to the B.E.is based on valid scores in JEE Main/COMED-K/KCET and M.Tech admission is based on valid scores in GATE, whereas admission to the MBA is done on the basis of scores in PGCET(Karnataka)/MAT/KMAT/CAT. The highest placement package offered to MITE students is INR 21 LPA. Vision group on Science & Technology (VGST) of the State Department of Science and Technology has awarded 'Centre of Excellence in Science, Engineering & Medicine (CESEM)' to the department of Physics of MIET.
