Megha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Ranga Reddy was established in 2008 under the auspice of Crescent Educational Society. Eminent educationalists involved in the field of education, for over a decade, formed the governing body of the College.

• LE-FIESTUS 2014-It was the national level technical fest of MIET which was held on 13th & 14th of March 2014. This event was named LE-FIESTUS meaning “Technical gathering” which fosters creativity and imagination to stimulate professional superiority and proficiency.
• Techno cultural events-Technical Symposiums like Le Fiestus are an effort to catch up with the pace of technological innovation. Events like Paper, Poster and Project Presentations provide a leeway for the students to indulge in their techno creative vision.
• Cultural events-it is the Informal Events which provide the much needed adrenaline gush and an outlet for the students.
