Pune Vidyarthi Griha’s College of Engineering and Technology (PVG, Pune) offers B.E program in 6 specializations.The admissions are based on MHT-CET conducted by DTE, Maharashtra followed by state level counselling. The Lateral Entry admissions are also conducted by DTE, the candidates have to apply online for Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

The candidates applying for MHT-CET must have passed class 12^th examination or equivalent in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.
The candidates are called for counselling and document verification based on the merit. The candidates are advised to register online for counselling with respect to the college and branch choices within the stipulated time.
For Lateral Entry, the candidates should have passed Diploma Course in Engineering or Technology in appropriate branch or B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with Mathematics as the main subject at 10+2 level.

Admission to the M.E course is offered on the basis of GATE score. Final admission is granted by DTE through a Centrallized Admission Process.

A candidate should have passed a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned field of Engineering.
After filling the application form online, the candidate needs to report at the nearest Facilitation Centre in person for document verification.
After the completion of verification of documents, the merit list is displayed on the official website.

MH CET: The application forms are available in online mode. The cost of application form is INR 600 for General and J&K candidates and INR 600 for all other reserved categories. candidates. The application fee can be paid using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.

Lateral Entry and M.E: The eligible candidates are required to fill the application form online or by visiting the nearest Facilitation Centre in order to submit the application form and documents. The candidates are requested to check the list of Facilitation Centre on the official website of DTE.

The cost of application form is INR 800 for General category candidates and INR 600 for Reserved categories.
The cost of application form for the M.E course is INR 1000 for General category and INR 800 for Reserved categories candidates.
The application fee can be paid through online modes such as Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.

Faculty is so good in teaching and other
The campus is also good and also the security
Placement ratio is also good of this college

What I didn’t like

Cafeteria for the students is worst of our college
College timing from 2nd year is too long
Cannot get sufficient time for our benefits

Admission process in our college is quite well and good As per the mhtcet exam our students are taken into college and mhtcet cap rounds through Jee mains is also one of the exams we take Admission through it

What I Liked

Educational staff and faculty is so good
Campus of the college is also way better
Clubs within the college are very active

What I didn’t like

College timing is too much can't get time
Cannot get time for other activities nnn
Cafeteria is not good and even no facilities

As compared to the other top colleges the campus of our college is small And facilities is also not that good Space for students for any kind of time we want to More active sessions should be taken for thier respective branch

Among these, VIIT Pune is the best choice. It is the second campus of VIT Pune and well-reputed among the engineering colleges in Pune.

It has a good placement record. The average and highest CTC offered during VIIT Pune placement 2022 were INR 32 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA, respectively.

E&TC at VIIT Pune is a comparatively better option when compared to CS at PVG because of the following reasons.

VIIT should be the one to go for. First of all, it is an autonomous institute and has a good placement record in CS/IT branch and provides the best ROI, unlike PVG which is neither an autonomous institute nor has good placement. Both of them have minimum complimentary campus infrastructure.

VIIT falls under one of the emerging and best universities in Maharashtra i.e. Vishwakarma University. If we look at other parameters like Faculty, Placement, and Infrastructure, VIIT excels in all. It is improving at a good rate nowadays.

Looking in terms of branches, the course might be different in both colleges because the specializations are different. The placement statistics are also different while other parameters are industry project remains the same or common.

It is difficult to compare two different institutes and two different courses. You should choose the course you are interested in and the college according to that.

Faculty:

The Electronics and Telecommunications engineering department at VIIT Pune has approximately 25 professors and almost 16 faculties have Ph.Ds with 12 years of experience. Whereas, the IT department of PVGCOET has 11 highly qualified faculty members.

Laboratories:

VIIT has awesome Electronics and Telecommunications labs such as 3 computer labs, 4 hardware labs, one virtual lab, and 7 sponsored laboratories with LAN and WiFi internet connection. In PVGCOET, there are 5 IT laboratories as per the requirement of SPPU and AICTE.

Alumni:

The alumni strength of VIIT Pune is stronger than PVGCOET. More than 1000 alumni of VIIT are working with reputed and multinational companies across the country as well as foreign.

Admission process:

The admission processes at VIIT for E & TC and IT at PVGCOET are similar. The admission process for B.Tech students is entrance based.

PVGCOET accepts MHT-CET scores for admission, whereas, VIIT accepts both JEE Mains and MHT-CET scores for admission.
The total seats for B.Tech for E & TC at VIIT Pune are about 180 whereas, at PVGCOET total intake for B.Tech IT is 60.
The course fee for B.Tech E & TC at VIIT Pune and for Information technology at PVGCOET is 1.64 lakhs and 1.12 lakhs respectively.
