Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research (TIMSR), established in the year 2002, offers a total of 2 courses i.e., MMS and Part-time MBA Admission to the college is entrance based and the application process for the same is online. The admission criteria at TIMSR is as follows:

Admission to Master in Management Studies (MMS) is done through MAH-MBA/ MMS-CET.
The college offers an Executive program in 2 specializations i.e., Marketing Management and Finance Management.
Admission to the Executive program in Management program is based on the work experience and performance of the student in the interview round.
Candidates appearing for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/ MMS-CET) conducted by the DTE will have 15% seats filled by All India Quota students.
The final selection of the student is through counseling which is conducted at the University only.
The reservation policy is in accordance with the regulations of the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must possess a graduate degree from any recognized Indian University with 50% aggregate. (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)
Candidates should have appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET) conducted by the DTE (15% seats will be filled by All India Quota through CAT(conducted by IIMs) & CMAT (conducted by the AICTE) and should have obtained the requisite score.

How to Apply

All candidates selected for admission to MMS are required to register with the University of Mumbai as Post-graduate students. Selection of the candidates for admission to the MMS Course is provisional and confirmed only on fulfillment of the following:

Admission of students other than the University of Mumbai will be confirmed by the University of Mumbai after submitting a migration certificate, mark sheet, and passing certificate of graduation in original to the University of Mumbai through the Institute.
All Candidates except Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates should be the domicile of Maharashtra State and they should produce the domicile certificate.

Ans. The eligibility criteria for Mumbai applicants is as follows:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor degree in any stream in any faculty of Mumbai University or an examination recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
Candidates must have acquired a minimum of two years of work experience at the supervisory or executive level. Experience will be counted from the day subsequent to the last day of the qualifying examination passed by the candidate.
If the practical experience is in more than one company, separate Work Experience Certificate signed by the employer stating clearly the nature of work experience is to be submitted.

Ques. What is the eligibility criteria for Non-Mumbai applicants?

Ans. The eligibility criteria for Non-Mumbai applicants is as follows:

Candidates who are graduates of other Universities are required to produce a provisional statement of eligibility issued by the Registrar, University of Mumbai declaring them eligible for admission to the course. The admission will only be confirmed after confirmation of their eligibility by the University of Mumbai.
For confirmation of eligibility, (a) Migration Certificate & Verification letter (b) Bachelor's Degree Certificate and (c) Bachelor’s Degree mark list should be submitted to the University through the Institute latest by the end of the first semester.
