Parala Maharaja Engineering College

Parala Maharaja Engineering College is the first government engineering college in southern Odisha.It was established in the year 2009 to pay tribute to King Krushna Chandra Gajapati. It is recognized by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. The government of Odisha has accredited this institution as one of the preeminent institutions of Southern Odisha. PMCE is accredited by NAAC “B+” grade institute and approved by AITCE.

This college is one of the premier technical institutes in the state and is funded by the government of Odisha The campus is spread over 85 acres of land. Some of the highly rated MNCs that come to the college for recruitment are TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, and so many others.

PMEC has an excellent placement record. In the placement session 2022–23, the highest salary package was INR 12 LPA offered to 6 students by Siyana Info So lutions Pvt. Ltd .TATA Power has offered 6 LPA packages to 21 students through off-campus placements, Adani Group has offered 6.5 LPA to 2 students, and the rest of the students are placed in a good position. A total of 433 students were placed, with an average salary of INR 3 LPA to INR 6 LPA .

Auditorium	A world-class auditorium of 2000 capacity is planned by the Government of Odisha, which will be the largest auditorium in South Odisha.
Workshop Block	The college has a well-equipped workshop building with many major types of equipment.
Computer Centre	Two computer centres with 140 number of systems in each centre with core i5 processor and core 2duo processor having 10 hr back up.
Library	Covers an area of 4140 square feet with 200 reading seat capacity 8045 books & current journals Subscription to several newspapers and magazines in English & Odiya
Hostel	Available for both boys and girls students separately, with a capacity of 200 students each.
