This is a four weeks course attended by selected officers of the rank of Brig/ Cmde/ Air Cmde as well as civilian officers from MOD. Three vacancies are also allotted to officers from friendly foreign countries. The inputs are at conceptual level and are oriented towards enhancement of leadership potential and decision making skills through application of modern management concepts and techniques. The course also offers participants an opportunity to enlarge their perspective by exchange of views on selected themes related to this exposure. Two such courses are conducted annually.

Qualification Requirement (QR) and Course Content

 Qualitative Requirement (QR). The QR for the course is officers of the rank of Lt Col/ Maj, Cdr/Lt Cdr, Wg Cdr/ Sqn Ldr or equivalent officers with 08 - 14 years service. Officers who have already attended HDMC are not eligible and must not be detailed on the course.

Candidate should have passed Graduation in the relevant stream from the recognized University.

Study Material.

(a) All instructional material related to the course will be supplied by the college. Soft copies of précis and other study material required by participant officers are uploaded on the College Wide Network (CWN).

(b) Participants will also be issued with hard copies of a précis/handouts considered essential.

(c) CDM has a well-established CWN and virtually all aspects of the course curriculum including day to day passage of instructions, class room teaching, submission of solutions (where required), issue of training programme are carried out online. It is therefore essential that you are reasonably proficient in your Information Technology related skills.
