- The faculties teach the course very well
- Immense Opportunities for learning and developing skills
- The Tag PSG is appreciated and you can get things done pretty easier in the society
Dislikes
- The dress code is pretty strict for girls
- The girls hostel timings are bad . Girls should be in before 6.30 . So taking outside classes can be complicated
- The club recruitments are done where some clubs selection are based on Senior contacts and nepotism So having senior contact necessary if u want to join at ease even though they recruit based on knowledge but some people who truly deserve rejected
Remarks :
As I went through TNEA counselling.as soon as I got the provisional allotment I went to college and the admission procedure was simple. You have to show your confirmation letter and the required documents are already mentioned in the website along with application form.make sure you arrange it .and submit to college and pay your 1st sem fees .You will get an temporary id card on spot.
Course Curriculum Overview :
According to the new 2023 regulations for a semester 2 CA exams and the avg of 2 is taken. For theory papers 40 % is internals and 60% finals .For practical paper the theory and internals are 50 50 . As of new regulations core subjects are introduced by the 2nd semester to make it easier for adapting.I Felt instead of 2 CA; 3 CA and the best of 2 can be considered like the previous regulation.but the new regulations kinda don't follow this.
Internships Opportunities :
Many core and IT companies visit PSG tech.the companies recruiting for internships starts right from 3rd year. For the information about the internship companies you can visit PSG tech website. Where the details of the companies for internships and placement department wise are given.
Placement Experience :
Students attend campus placement from 6th semester and internship opportunities by 6th semester. Top core and non core companies come for placement as PSG is one of the top colleges in Tamilnadu. For mechanical engineering caterpillar, tata , tvs , L and T and many other top companies come for recruitment
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As I went through counselling my fees for the 1st semester was 22000 and for 2nd semester was 6000. If You choose Self supporting or Sandwich courses your fees will be almost 80000 per semester. The hostel fees including accomodation for 2 sharing with attached bathroom (girls) is 123000 and there are rooms for 3 sharing (attached bathroom),4 sharing, 6 sharing,8 sharing, dormitory. The highest hostel fees is 133000 that is 3 sharing coz of its infrastructure and attached bathroom. Other than 2 and 3 all the other rooms the fees is less than 1 lakh correspondingly.
Campus Life :
Shrishti and prayatna are the two main inter College events . There are many student teams in PSG tech for instance Pegasus,E Baja Bois , M Baja Bois ,etc. they are totally run by students and the students avail the sponsors from outside.The GRD library have variety of sources to learn and the collections are huge.Psg not only tops in academy but it's the best when it comes to sports too . Involving in sports are appreciated by faculties. Other than this PSG have NSS , NCC air wing ,NCC girls wing, NCC men wing, etc
Hostel Facilities :
The PSG tech hostel meals is the best. They provide north and south indian cuisines. And the food taste is worth for the cost.I am staying in a 2 sharing room with attached bathroom.its spacious enough. The boys hostel have a big ground. Both boys and girls hostel have indoor games ,gym, Library
Faculty :
Almost all the faculties teach well and guide you. They are approachable for educational purposes as well as for guidance regarding projects and internships.The Library is the great repository. The GRD Library is a very great source almost for all .

Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester the students are eligible for placement training. The students can also try off campus placements even in their 2 nd year. There are many companies visiting our college.some of them are cognizant, Zoho , Infosys and so on. The average package is 6.5 lakhs per annum and highest package is 33 to 35 lakhs per annum. My plan after degree is to place in a reputed company.

Amrita is always good at placements. The reason for me joining this college is placements. But they are also declining gradually. But for now there is no issue with placements in amrita university. for cse related branches placements are really good.
