I chose SRM Madurai College for its modern infrastructure, strong placement services, and industry-aligned curriculum. I applied to other colleges like VIT and Manipal but chose SRM for its balanced academic environment and specific course offerings. I didn't make it to some top-tier colleges due to stiff competition and narrowly missing cutoffs. The SRM admission process involves an online application, entrance exams like SRMJEEE or JEE Main, followed by counseling. SRM Madurai stood out for its good faculty-to-student ratio and well-rounded campus life, making it a solid choice for engineering studies.

How do you perceive a good curriculum? Do you think your curriculum is good? Why or why not? Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade, and a a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute err

An honest feedback of a second year student
Placement Experience :
The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year in the month of October. For chemical engineering, Asian paints, PETRONAS are some companies I remember. Last year 12companies visited and 20offers were made. Highest package: 12LPA and Average package: 6LPA. Students with no standing arrears are mandatory for placements and some companies want candidates with no history of arrears. Percentage of students getting placed is around 15%. I currently do not have any plans
