To apply for CLAT as required for the UG and PG programs, the steps mentioned below should be followed:
- Log on to the official website of CLAT 2020 and register using personal mobile number and email id.
- Log in with the details sent on the mobile number. Fill in the form carefully. Also, fill in preferences for NLUs.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fee of INR 4000.
Documents Required
- Front-facing passport size recent photograph with a plain background
- Signature of the candidate
- Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC
- Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are applying if the candidate is P.W.D
- Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are coming under BPL category
All documents should be submitted in PDF format only.
The Admission shall be based exclusively on the merit of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The candidate must have passed the LL.B./B.L. Degree examination from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law or any other University whose degrees are recognized by this University, with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST) shall be eligible for admission to the course.
- Candidates appearing in/awaiting results of the qualifying examination being held in April/May may also apply and appear provisionally for the Admission Test, subject to the condition that they shall produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of interview/counseling.
- The candidature of:
- those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks and/or fail to produce result on the date of interview/counseling, or
- those who get compartments/re-appear in any subject in the qualifying examination, shall be cancelled and subsequent securing qualifying marks shall not be considered in any case.
